 SAN DIEGO  CNS  - A skateboarder was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries after colliding with a vehicle on Nimitz Boulevard in Ocean Beach, police said Tuesday.A 27-year-old man riding a skateboard was hit by a car forcing the closure Nimitz Boulevard between West Point Loma and Sunset Cliffs boulevards at around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to the San Diego Police Department.Police said a 63-year-old man was driving southbound on Nimitz Boulevard, approaching a green light at the intersection of Nimitz and West Point Loma Boulevard. The skateboard rider was heading northbound on Nimitz, when he entered the intersection and turned westbound against a red light in front of the driver, and was struck, police said.Police confirmed the skateboarder was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center,  stanley cup but had no update on his condition.  CHULA VISTA  KGTV  鈥?An investigation into the reported abuse of a puppy in the Rancho Del Rey neighborhood, which was caught on video, has been turned over to Animal Control officials, police said Sunday.A 30-second video surfaced on local social media pages showing a man allegedly striking a dog several times on a public sidewalk. Additional details described to this station give a more harrowing account of the incident that was not caught on video.Chula Vista resident Frances Montgomery told ABC 10News that her 17-year-old daughter Sabrina captured the video around noon on Friday.Montgomery said that her daughter and a friend saw an unleashed puppy running along the 700 block of East J Street and decided to retrieve the animal.Within a moment, Sabrina noticed two people giving chase after the dog.
