Celluloid Dreams has signed on to handle int
stanley cup ernational sales of Philip Seymour Hoffmans directorial debut,Jack Goes Boating,billed as an unconventional romantic comedy.Marc Turtletaub and Peter Saraf of Big Beach and Emily Ziff of Cooperstown are producing the film, along with independent producer Beth ONeil. Overture Films is co-financing with Big Beach and will distribute the film domestically. Philip Seymour Hoffman and John Ortiz, artistic directors of LAByrinth Theater Company where the stage play was originally developed and produced, are executive producing. The Dubai Technology and Media Free Zone Authority, organisers of the Dubai International Film Festival, have announced plans to launch a Gulf cinema event. The competitive Gulf Film Festival, in assocation with Dubai Studio City also a partner in DIFF , will be devoted to films from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Iraq and Yemen.
