Vladimir Rogov, a member of the Main Council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, spoke about the state of the nuclear power plant (NPP) after the shelling. His words are transmitted by RIA Novosti.
 
"The nuclear power plant itself was not damaged and is operating normally. The air defense of the Russian army has once again covered the facility from the nuclear threat, which is constantly provoked by Ukrainian nationalists," Rogov said.
 
On August 13, Vladimir Rogov reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were again shelling the city of Energodar and the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant. Before that, he also admitted that the station could be mothballed.
 
On August 11, it became known that the Ukrainian military had carried out several strikes on the area of the storage of radioactive isotopes of the NPP. As a result of the shelling, the power lines of the Kakhovskaya substation were damaged, which caused a fire to start in the field next to the nuclear power plant. It was established that the 44th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was involved in the shelling.
